Benefit from the Magic of the Beautiful Morning
This article is part of The Ramadan Series.
How many times did you hear about the golden hour, the first hour of the day which -- spent calmly and concentrated -- literally makes your day. It is called the rudder of the day by some and by those who experienced the power of dawn only one single time, it is celebrated and praised.
Dawn is the time in the morning at which the sun is 6 degrees below the horizon. Civil dawn is defined as that time at which there is sufficient light for objects to be distinguishable and for outdoor activities to commence. Traditionally, the beginning of dawn is the point at which a white thread can be distinguished from a black one.
But there is more --
The early morning hours and the feeling obtained and perpetuated during this magic time of the day is what separates people. You know exactly when you have finally found your purpose once you start getting up early to make good use of every second of dawn, and the upcoming day, for that matter. You don't even have to set an alarm to wake up in order to witness and to participate in creation.
Please note the difference between the time considered night and the exclusive, solemn period of dawn. While the night is static -- by definition every moment is black -- dawn is dynamic, every second is unique and ever changing.
Cheating doesn't work. Staying awake all night long to benefit from the magic of dawn doesn't work. You have to actually get up. It is not about getting up as early as possible, it is about getting up early enough to witness and enjoy the beginning of dawn.
Dawn is life. Try to attach yourself to time and use the momentum of the magic hours to literally pull you on the perfect track for the perfect day. You know that you have found your purpose when you show up effortlessly and just in time to tell apart the black thread from the white thread.
It is said that ultimately successful people are not seen in the streets before 9am. I don't think so. On the other hand, the successful, the aspiring, and the guided may not be found in the streets but they are definitely awake and fully alert. Alert to savor the most beautiful hours of the day.
In case this does not make sense to you yet, I invite you to come back later to share the magic.
