The WOW Cult
A common question and a recurring comment, sometimes accused or merely reckoned, is the subject of a cult hidden beyond all that's being WOW. Now, the theory itself reveals its origins in mediocrity --
nothing really great is possible nor conceivable without any means beyond my grasp, let alone my control.
How about letting go and deciding for yourself?Let's review the definitions of a cult, commented where appropriate or even remotely insightful --
- A religion or religious sect -- there is no
sect,
-- generally considered to be extremist -- noextremism
either, although I sometimes recommend to leave the path of the masses, does that make itextremist?
-- or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner -- well, subjectivity rules, yours and mine. You decide -- under the guidance -- guidance is free -- of an authoritarian, -- again, you decide -- charismatic leader, -- did you ever experience a non-charismatic true leader? - Followers of such a religion or sect, -- everyone wants to be WOW -- there is no sect necessary.
- A religion or religious sect -- there is no
- A system or community of religious worship and ritual, -- isn't fast food a cult then?
- The formal means of expressing religious reverence; religious ceremony and ritual, -- what about watching TV?
- A usually nonscientific method or regimen claimed by its originator to have exclusive or exceptional power in curing a particular disease, -- yes, curing the disease of slacking off and thinking that you are lower than yourself.
- Obsessive, especially faddish, devotion to or veneration for a person, principle, or thing, -- no... this wouldn't make you WOW.
- The object of such devotion, -- inherently correct, see above.
- An exclusive group of persons sharing an esoteric, usually artistic or intellectual interest, -- you know what... an exclusive group, sharing an artistic or intellectual interest, -- WOW, as for the esoteric part, something confined to and understandable by only an enlightened inner circle -- I am working on expanding that circle... while enlightenment is a mere by-product.
Of course, there is nothing really new to write about.
There isn't anything new to experience either. Except for all the experiences that every one of us is about to make for the first time. Except for all the experiences that every one of us already made only to tell the first timers how to successfully deal with.
If it is for you, you will notice and eventually appreciate it, and if it isn't, you will find it boring and dismiss it as nothing new. That's the course of things. Attraction attracts itself.
WOW considers ordinary circumstances, everyday problems, reduced and extended through a unique perspective, revealing the core and the inside of what often seems only vaguely related to the problem at hand.
Most reflections are implicit and inherent, seemingly obvious thoughts with evident conclusions -- until you get the questions asking for the explicitly explicit.
