Why You Should Assume Complete Responsibility for Your Goals
Communities are built on the foundations of a single mind's dream but no community is able to collectively dream up a reality that will eventually manifest. There are no collective dreams. You are on your own.
Who is responsible for your goals? As much as you are responsible for you actions and the results that your actions produce, you are equally responsible for your dreams, your visions, your goals, and your intentions.
The difference between a vision and its manifested reality is that the dream is infinitely more vulnerable and subject to alterations through the slightest influences and contact with input of any kind, be it positive or negative.
You have to defend your own goals and -- even better and more effective in the long run -- you have to offensively fight against the constant and continual erosion of your dreams and ideals from the outside. Guard your dreams and take good care of their growth for as long as possible. It is not that the world is such an absolutely dangerous or bad place, it is the exposure to unwanted effects that you want to prevent your dreams from. They are your dreams after all.
There is no process of a common or mutual creating of a dream, a dream shaped by many is a lowest common denominator solution and is, by definition, not your very dream. Most often, you end up dissatisfied and retire from the development of the current project only to start something completely new, something of your own.
Nobody supports your goals because they are your goals. Nobody fights for your goals because they are your goals. Nobody will work to manifest your goals because everybody has their own goals or at least an agenda which is -- by definition -- not yours.
This is what
stand up for what you believe,
implies -- fighting for your right to execute your own plans. Of course do your goals have to befor the highest good of all,
but first and foremost are you obliged to sculpt your vision and defend it against -- not the conflicts with other goals and dreams -- but against attempts to eliminate any progress that is made in order to change only the smallest thing in your environment. Most people fear the change, not the idea itself.Defend your initial, raw idea as well as your grown up, refined plan. Nobody but you is dreaming your dream. Please note that this is not about not sharing your dream, more specifically, this is about laying the foundations for your dream, as undisturbed and as original as you can.
Your power and your input come from within. Make your dream as yours as possible and finally share your tangible manifestation.
